Susan B. Anthony miscellany : ALS and ADS, 1863-1936.

Chiefly correspondence of or pertaining to Anthony. Three letters are from Anthony, in the course of her business as part of the Women's National League and the National American Woman Suffrage Association. The first letter, dated Dec. 14, 1863, is to R.W. Lyman, thanking Lyman for support and postponing an antislavery petition before Congress. The other two are to Hannah J. Clapp, one of which concerns a possible meeting of the two in Reno, Nev., as part of Anthony's trip west to San Francisco. Includes three inspirational statements on two leaves written and signed by Anthony, one of which encourages the men of Calif. to vote in favor of the Suffrage Amendment No. XI on Nov. 3, 1896; an undated note from H.B. Anthony in Washington, D.C. to a Mr. Edwards; and a letter, with envelope postmarked 1936, from May Sinsheimer indicating Anthony's visit to her home in 1896.
